The Birkby property includes a large 40’ by 60’ frame tent during the late spring through late fall. This tent is positioned on the south side of the property on a hard-surface flooring providing a stable base for tables and chairs and eliminating the need for a dance floor. Included with the tent are sidewalls with Palladian windows, draped liner for the ceiling, chandeliers, perimeter lighting and fans. The tent can be heated or cooled for a nominal charge. The gardens, courtyard, tent, and carriage house can be utilized in a variety of ways to suit your needs.

The wedding ceremony is typically held on the courtyard with the reception in the tent. Social and business events often begin with cocktails on the courtyard and move into the tent for presentations or dinners. The bar and acoustical music can be located on the courtyard or on the terrace. The gazebo is often used for the cake cutting, music groups or hors d’oeuvres. The caterer has a choice of two prep kitchens.

The courtyard and gardens have teak and concrete benches throughout. Containers around the property are always blooming with seasonal annuals and the garden beds are planted with perennial flowers.
