Weddings and Receptions
For wedding day preparations, we offer private dressing areas on the second floor of the residence for the bride and for the groom. The bride and bridesmaids will have exclusive use of the Bride's Salon and Powder Room, while the groom and groomsmen will enjoy similar accommodations in the Gentlemen's Lounge. The bright and cheerful bride’s salon, with its full-length mirror and private porch overlooking the terrace and gardens, is simply charming. Beautifully decorated with exquisite artwork, it connects with a bathroom that features seating, a wall of mirrors, a dress-length closet, steamer, and refrigerator.
Second floor porches serve as inviting gathering places. They have a wonderful view of the gardens and are perfect for photos and for the bride to toss her bouquet. In the winter, weddings with 50 or fewer guests can plan for their dinner to be in the main house with the ceremony in the upper level of the Carriage House or in the Parlors which can accommodate 24 as a chapel. A heated tent can be installed on the back terrace for dancing. |
